employees in the sales dept.
Of the 60 emplyees of a certains company, twice as many are in the sales department as are in all of the other departments combined. What is the number of employees in the sales department?
If you take x as the number os employees in all "other departments combined", you know that the employees in the sales dept are twice as that, or 2x.
ReplyDeleteKnowing the total 60 = 2x + x you get easily x = 20. The number in the sales dept, as stated above, is 2x or 40. Thus the correct option should be D.
