DS - (data sufficiency) line segments length

A.......B.........C.......D

In the figure above, is CD > BC?

Given statements:
(1) AD = 20
(2) AB = CD

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not suffcient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not suffcient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are suffcient, but NEITHER statement alone is sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT suffcient.

Statement (1) says nothing about the relative size of BC and CD; it states the measure of the whole segment - not sufficient;
Statement (2) says AB=CD but we still don't know how long they are (not sufficient, then). AB, CD can be, for example, equal to 5, yielding BC = 20-5-5=10, then CD < BC; or they can be equal to 8, yielding BC=20-8-8=4, leading to CD > BC. The conclusion is that the given statements, together, are not sufficient for us to decide if CD is greater than BC. Let's decide for option E.
